BIOGRAPHY
Qristyl Frazier, founder of QristylFrazierDesigns (QFD), Inc. a
Brooklyn based fashion house, is a plus-size designer with two
decades of experience in the fashion industry.
QFD’s strong reputation as an independently owned and operated,
boutique design house features designs are customized for
established, tasteful women, who buy clothing to fit their active
careers and lifestyles. Clientele run the gamut from your everyday
fashionista to celebrity. QFD has created custom designs for
Janet Jackson, Queen Latifah, Angie Stone, Wendy Williams and
countless others in the entertainment industry.
Qristyl’s vision to take the fashion world by storm began as a
young Fashion Design major at Stephens College in Columbia,
Missouri. Upon graduation, she wasted no time making her mark
in the fashion epicenter…the Big Apple, breaking into the fashion industry as
a Technical Designer where Qristyl honed her skills at top fashion houses
such as: White House Black Market, Sean by Sean Coombs, DKNY
International, Alice and Olivia, Tommy Hilfiger, Jones Apparel, Victoria's
Secret, and Abercrombie and Fitch.
As an in-house Technical Designer, Qristyl never lost sight of her dream to
design her own line of sought after garments and was inspired to create
designs for more fuller-figured women.
She quietly launched QFD and for the past 15 years she’s been focused on
building a loyal fan-base and clientele for the curvy fashionista, from ages 22
to 55 - sizes 12 to size 24.
Qristyl’s future is even brighter after shining on Season 5 of the hit television
series, Project Runway, and she looks forward to QFD becoming a household
name in the world of fashion and being listed among legendary fashion
designers.
The pursuit of success has not extinguished Qristyl's desire to give. She has
contributed both her fashion designs and her time to organizations like:
The Cancer Foundation - Columbia. MO Chapter (increasing Cancer
Awareness among women)
The New York Foundling Foundation (teaching orphan girls ages 13-18 how
to dress to compliment their body types)
Most recently, QFD was exclusively featured in the April 2010 edition of
Essence Magazine. Although considered an “emerging” designer, the QFD
brand is well known throughout the country.
So Qristyl would like to know, "What's
Your Plus Sexy?"
